RAMY AQEL - Treasurer

Since his graduation from law school in 2014, Ramy has been dedicated to the representation of victims of personal injury and medical malpractice. Mr. Aqel honed his legal skills while interning at the New York State Supreme Court and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. Currently, Mr. Aqel practices in the field of civil litigation.

In addition to his experience as a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney, Mr. Aqel has also spent several years practicing in the areas of human rights, immigration, and criminal defense. His experience in immigration law has led his clients to several noteworthy victories in federal court and the Board of Appeals.

Over the years, Mr. Aqel has committed a great deal of effort to philanthropy and non-profit work. He regularly provides pro-bono legal services and advice aimed at encouraging political participation and empowerment for underserved communities. Mr. Aqel played a leading role at the United Nations and the International Criminal Court in the implementation of human rights and equality advocacy campaigns in multiple countries, including the United States, Iraq, Syria, Colombia, Palestine, Yemen, and Haiti.
