HOUEIDA SAAD - Advisory Board
Houeida Saad is both an attorney and a Registered Nurse who has a robust amount of experience in healthcare including international healthcare delivery. She is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the Washington College of Law at The American University in Washington, D.C., where she taught both Health & Human Rights and Managed Care Law. Houeida was named Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by both the District of Columbia Bar and the National Law Journal (2000) for her work in representing an incarcerated individual with the use of secret evidence against him in Kiareldeen v. Reno, where the District Court in New Jersey held that detention based on the use of secret evidence is against the due process clause of the U.S. Constitution and the client ordered released. She was a founding member of The National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom where attorneys were trained on representing individuals with the use of Secret evidence in judicial proceedings against their clients.
Houeida holds a dual degree in Law and International Affairs (JD/MA) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
